Sabrina J. Barilone

Sabrina J. Barilone is a ceramic sculptor living in Atlanta. She is a first and third generation Italian-American and grew up into her early teens living in Italy and Belgium. Her art education includes a BFA in Art Education with a concentration in Ceramics from Georgia State University an two years of graduate level work in a Ceramics MFA program at Miami University. She has 10+ years teaching experience in Georgia public schools in settings varying from elementary art, online learning academy, high school art including teaching in a Fine Arts Magnet program and International Baccalaureate high school. While teaching, she completing post-baccalaureate work at GSU, attended workshops at Penland, Anderson Ranch, Arrowmont and Santa Fe Clay and studied under figure sculpture under Martin Dawe at Cherrylion Studios in Atlanta for three years. She has been awarded Arrowmont’s Bill Griffith Educator Fellowship in 2021. She has attended residencies at Hambidge Creative Center in Rabun Gap, GA and has recently completed a Fall Residency at Eureka Springs School of Arts in Eureka Springs, AR. She has exhibited across Georgia as well as in several places in the Midwest in juried and duo shows.
